Oribe x Texture On Set: A Celebration of Textured Hair Artistry
Texture On Set returned for its third annual celebration of textured hair artistry–cementing itself as a key moment on our beauty calendar. For Oribe, the event marked another meaningful milestone: three years as a proud founding partner! In case you missed it, here’s everything our team had to report from set.
Founded by award-winning hairstylist Naeemah LaFond—the icon behind Oribe’s Eternal Curls campaign—Texture On Set was created to build a stronger, more connected community of beauty professionals while expanding education around textured hair across editorial, backstage, on-set, and salon environments. Nearly 300 guests gathered for the occasion, bringing together an influential mix hairstylists, makeup artists, wardrobe stylists, photographers, models, influencers, and brand leaders. Oribe welcomed 25 guests in attendance, including global artists, local artists, and salon stylists.
Oribe Global Ambassador, Stacey Ciceron, took the stage for a masterclass featuring two models with distinct curl patterns and styling preferences. The first look transformed Type 4 curls into sleek, sculpted strands using aerosol products and strategic blow dryer work for a soft-matte, satin finish. For the second model, who preferred heat-free styling, Stacey transformed the model’s Type 4 curls with layered cream and gel formulas, creating a high-shine ponytail that celebrated her natural texture while delivering polished results.Following Stacey’s demonstration, Superfine Strong Hair Spray and Supershine Smoothing Wax Stick quickly became the star products and breakout heroes of the event (and for good reason, too).
Inspired by Oribe’s Eternal Curls campaign, guests stepped into their own editorial moment with a glam-bot-style video experience. Guests also received personalized product pairings based on their hair type and needs, thoughtfully curated by members of our Oribe Global Team.
The event concluded with special honors for Itaysha Jordan with the Living Legend Award, Ursula Stephen with the Industry Icon Award, and Dre Demry with the Rising Visionary Award. Guests also experienced a live editorial styling shoot led by Naeemah herself, photographed by Jean Paul Dia and powered backstage by a curated edit of Oribe favorites.
The evening closed with Oribe gifting experiences that extended the celebration beyond the event and into the real-life routines of our #OribeObsessed community.
