Summer Styles: Easy Heatless Beach Waves

Want to rock that effortless beach wave look—even if you didn’t actually hit the beach? You can achieve those chic, wavy locks without heat. Here’s how to get perfect beach waves without any heat styling tools, just your hands.

1. Start with Clean Hair

Begin with freshly washed hair. If your hair tends to be limp or fine, opt for a volumizing shampoo and conditioner, like Shampoo and Conditioner for Magnificent Volume to add lift. However, if your hair is naturally textured or color-treated (like balayage), make sure to use a moisturizing product to keep it hydrated and healthy. After washing, gently squeeze out excess water using a towel or t-shirt—don’t rub!

2. Apply Prep and Styling Products

To detangle and add texture, apply a leave-in conditioner or detangler while your hair is still damp. Then, apply your styling products. Use Matte Waves Texture Lotion for volume and texture at the roots and throughout your hair. If your hair needs extra body, you can add a bit of Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse to your roots.

3. Shape the Waves

Once your product is applied, start creating waves! Use your hands or a wide-tooth comb to shape the hair into an ‘S’ wave pattern. Take big sections of hair and fold the strands in opposite directions to form the waves. This will create that beachy, tousled look.

4. Let It Dry

Let your hair air-dry naturally. The more you touch it while it’s drying, the more frizz can happen, so try to avoid constant handling. Hair takes shape from damp to dry so give it time to fully dry.

5. Finish with Volume & Hold

After your hair is dry, use a Dry Texturizing Spray to add volume and hold. If you notice any frizz or flyaways, smooth them down with a few drops of Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil. Press the oil into your hair for a polished finish.

And voilà! Now you’ve got beautiful, effortless beach waves—no heat necessary.
