How To: The Ultimate Supermodel Blowout

Our visionary cofounder, the late hair artist Oribe Canales, was known for his iconic 90’s supermodel blowout, which he perfected on the era’s most legendary names for countless magazine covers and runway shows. With his technique in mind, we’ve selected the styling products to help you pay homage to his signature style.
Prep
On damp hair, apply a small amount of Supershine Moisturizing Cream from roots to ends to help even out porosity and moisturize your hair. For fine hair, opt for Supershine Light. For those with thicker strands, opt for Priming Lotion.

Style
Working section by section, Spray Maximista Thickening Spray from roots to ends. (For those with highly-processed hair, use Imperial Blowout for added restorative protection).
Starting in the front, use a medium, round, boar-bristle brush to blow out your hair, working section by section in a forward motion to create volume at the roots. Make sure that the section of hair you are working with can fit comfortably on the brush.
Roll the section you just blew out backwards around 2 to 3 fingers, and secure with a duckbill at the base. Repeat this throughout your head, creating 8 to 10 rolls. Let cool.
Once cooled, start in the front and take out each roll, applying Dry Texturizing Spray from roots to mid-shaft as you go.
Using a flat, boar-bristle paddle brush, brush your hair thoroughly from roots to ends - both underneath and on top.

Finish
Using 2 to 3 pumps of Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil, emulsify in your palms and then run through your hair from mid-shaft to ends.
For a flexible hold, apply Imperméable all over.
For a more defined hairline, use your fingers and take a small amount of Rough Luxury Soft Molding Paste and apply to the first ½” of your hairline. This helps to smooth any frizz for a clean finish.
Ta-da! A full, flawless, iconic Oribe blowout that lasts for days.
