Oribe Global Ambassador James Pecis solidified an evolutionary moment in brand history when he styled the newest Oribe campaign imagery, alongside celebrated fashion photographer Richard Burbridge and revered creative director Alex Wiederin. The new images, which thrust the brand into the modern era of textured hair and can be found in all of the brand’s current advertising, graced the November cover and four inside pages of American Salon Magazine. “The idea was to focus on beautiful, effortless hair,” said James. “We didn’t want to emphasize the face, rather we wanted to capture moments of hair movement and try to get across the true nature of hair’s perfect imperfections.”

Get the Look:
For this look, James cut a blunt base line into the hair, and because of her hair color the result had internal broken, textured bits. 

  1. Saturate the hair with Maximista Thickening Spray and blow dry.   
  2. Create a classic set with the largest Marcel Curling Iron.
  3. Once on set, brush the hair out with a Mason Pearson brush for an aerated finish.   
  4. Create movement with a wind board.
