Gosha Rubchinskiy

Russian streetwear designer Gosha Rubchinskiy made his runway debut in Paris last month. The Spring/Summer 2015 collection—utilitarian-style jackets, leather blazers, patchwork button-downs and brightly colored separates—was inspired by street style and skater culture in his hometown of Moscow, as well as in New York and Paris.

According to hairstylist Ramona Eschbach, the show’s casting was just as important as the clothes. “There were only a few real models in the show. The rest were friends of the designer or ‘real’ young, punk skater boys,” explained Eschbach. “I made each one look like a better and stronger version of himself.” She started off with strengthening or re-cutting the hair and squaring the hairlines before styling.

Eschbach also discovered a winning combination of products: Sculpting Cream and Fiber Groom Elastic Texture Paste. “It’s a great way to get a textured but dry finish that has hold.”

Get the Look:
1. After squaring the hairlines with clippers, apply Foundation Mist to the hair.
2. Use Sculpting Cream and then blow-dry the hair. “You’ll find the hair keeping a piecy texture that’s not too greasy or heavy,” noted Eschbach
3. Finish the hair with Fiber Groom Elastic Texture Paste.
