"Benedict Cumberbatch"

TIME Magazine, October 2013
Hair by Jordan Bree Long

Benedict Cumberbatch, star of the thriller
The Fifth Estate, appeared on the international cover of TIME Magazine’s October issue. Cumberbatch’s stylist, Jordan Bree Long, created a sleek but soft style to accentuate the ‘30s vibe of his current cut. “Benedict has great thick, wavy hair,” Jordan said. “Oribe works so well for him because he can start sharp and sleek, then easily rough it up a bit for a tousled look, which is what we did for the cover.” Read on to see how Jordan created the style and scroll below for a behind-the-scenes video from the cover shoot.

Get the look:
1. Apply a quarter-sized amount of the Sculpting Cream through slightly damp hair and blow hair dry, smoothing it with a small styling brush. “Sculpting Cream provides the perfect amount of soft hold without a stiffed gelled look. On wet or dry hair, this product is magical,” Jordan said.
2. Run a dime-sized dollop of the Crème for Style over the top to take away any frizz and give it a little shine.
3. Finish with a tiny amount of the Rough Luxury Molding Wax along the hairline and to separate some pieces.
