1. Start by misting the hair with Foundation Mist until it’s slightly damp, then apply Curl Shaping Mousse throughout the length of the hair.
2. Twist the hair into ropes and heat with a diffuser before wrapping into buns. Spray the bun with Superfine Hair Spray before pinning them to cool. Keep in mind that smaller buns make tighter waves. I usually create four to six knots over directed towards the nape because I like a loose hairline and soft, face-framing pieces, but be creative! Play with alternating the positions of the buns for more curl or try doing buns along the hairline.
3. Go back over the set with a cool diffuser before unwrapping the buns to ensure that they’re cool.
4. To finish, use Fiber Groom Elastic Texture Paste for piecey separation or Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil for a more polished finish and a mist of Superfine Hair Spray for hold.
1. Prep the hair with Foundation Mist.
2. Create five sections—one at the crown, and then divide the remaining hair into four quadrants.
3. Apply Curl Shaping Mousse to each section and braid all five sections.
4. You can let the braids air-dry (this style is perfect before bedtime for beachy waves when you wakeup) or gently flatiron each braid if you’re in a rush.
5. Take the braids out and unbraid. Use your hands to gently break apart the braids.
6. Finish the look with Après Beach Wave and Shine Spray at the ends for separation and shine.
1. Start with damp hair and apply Surfcomber Tousled Texture Mousse all over.
2. Starting from the crown, twist small sections of the hair and then wrap the section into a curl in your hand and gently blowdry. Repeat until you’ve completed the whole head.
3. When the hair is dry, go over random pieces with a curling iron to create definition.
4. Finish with a mist of Après Beach Wave and Shine Spray for separation and shine.
1. This look is for girls with natural curls who want a more beachy wave. Combine a dollop of Supershine Light Moisturizing Cream and Surfcomber Tousled Texture Mousse and comb through the hair to prep. Add more product as you need, but be sure to use more Supershine Light than Surfcomber.
2. Gently comb through the hair with a wide-toothed comb to ensure that the product is distributed evenly. Let the hair dry naturally or dry with a diffuser.
3. Wrap random sections of hair around a 1-inch curling iron, focusing on the curls that are particularly frizzy or tight. Hold the iron horizontally rather than vertically and wrap the hair around the wand in an upward direction, hold for a few seconds and then let go. This will give you the perfect tousled beachy wave that will blend into your natural curls.
4. To set the hair when you’re done, spray Soft Lacquer Heat Styling Spray throughout the hair. Let it sit for 10 minutes or until it’s dry, then gently run your hands through the curls to break them up. “Soft Lacquer has great memory—it’s my go-to product,” Bianka says. “I actually love using it as a finishing spray. Once you let it dry, you can do whatever you want and your hair will stay perfect. Just be sure to let it dry before touching it.”
