Lead hairstylist Ramona Eschbach for Oribe Hair Care went for an “androgynous sleek” style for the Spring 2013 RAD by Rad Hourani show. “Rad always likes something really clean,” she said. “It’s the norm for him.” This season, the look was comprised of a no-part, slicked-back style that mirrored the clean lines of Hourani’s designs. Models with long hair were also given the illusion of a pulled-back ponytail. “Rad didn’t want to be able to see any hair from the front. Creating the appearance of pulled-back hair without an elastic made the look a little bit special.”

Get the look:
1. Spray ends of hair with Royal Blowout, then flat iron the entire head.
2. Slick back the hair using a mixture of Superfine Strong, Rock Hard Gel and Gel Sérum.
3. For long hair, pull into a ponytail and tie very tight with an elastic band. Let sit for at least 20 minutes.
4. Spray pony tail with Royal Blowout to smooth out hairs.
5. Remove elastic so that it leaves a strong impression in the hair, creating the illusion that it’s pulled back.
