Behind the Hair

Georgina Chapman at the 2014 Academy Awards

Hair by Sienree Du

Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman looked elegant at the 86th-annual Academy Awards in a feathered dress of her own design and sleek, glamorous waves by hairstylist Sienree Du. "I was very inspired by Hollywood icons like Rita Hayworth, but also by Georgina's dress," Sienree said. "Of course the designer of Marchesa would be wearing something breathtaking. I gave her a more polished look with a bit of shine to contrast all the textures and details in her dress. When you have something so flawless, less is more."

Get the look:
1. On damp hair, prep strands with a mixture of Supershine Light Moisturizing Cream and Smooth Style Serum from mid-shaft to ends. Blow-dry hair in small sections with a medium-sized round brush, lifting at the roots for volume and angling the ends to create slight bend and movement.
2. Once hair is completely dry, mist ends with Soft Lacquer Heat Styling Spray and curl hair in large sections from mid-shaft to ends with a 1 1/2-inch curling iron.
3. Gently brush out curls with a boar bristle brush to loosen up the ends. Finish hair with a mist of Superfine Strong Hair Spray to hold the style with weightless movement.
