Made in Miami

Lisa and Danielle Frankel

To correspond with Oribe's Backstage extravaganza this June, we've been asking some of Miami's influencers and tastemakers what their favorite places to shop, dine and unwind are in this electric city. First up in our Made in Miami series are the stylish mother and daughter jewelry designers Lisa and Danielle Frankel of Phillips House.

Mother and daughter Lisa Phillips Frankel and Danielle Frankel are the creative minds behind the highly buzzed-about Miami-based fine jewelry line Phillips House. Known for their unique pave diamond settings and signature 揕ove Always gold cuff, the design duo aims to create timeless and sophisticated pieces beautifully crafted from the heart. Their jewelry has been worn by everyone from the First Lady of the United States to Oprah Winfrey, and has graced the covers of countless fashion magazines, including Glamour抯 February issue featuring it-girl Zooey Deschanel. We talked to the talented designers about how Miami influences their elegant designs卆nd their favorite places to relax and entertain in their home city.

Your jewelry collection is absolutely beautiful. We can imagine your clients are very sophisticated women with exceptional taste. Where would the Phillips House customer go shopping in Miami to find an ensemble to complement her jewels?
Bal Harbour Shops, Alchemist and (according to Lisa) Danielle's closet.

How does Miami influence your jewelry designs?
With its colorful landscape and interesting people, Miami is very inspirational.

As a mother daughter design duo, you must spend a lot of time working together. Where do you go to relax as a pair?
Fisher Island is one of our favorite spots to relax because it feels so secluded, even though it's only a few miles from home and work.

If you had to have a business lunch with a buyer, where would you take them?
The Standard Hotel.

If you were looking to get inspired, where in Miami would you go for some creative stimulation?
We love being immersed in creative design, so we try to visit every place from Fisher Island to the Wolfsonian Museum and Bass Museum to the galleries in Wynwood and stores in the Design District.
