For the February 2013 cover of Glamour, hairstylist Roque used Oribe products to transform Zooey Deschanel into an updated version of a 1950s rodeo girl. 揟hat was photographer Ellen von Unwerth抯 first impression after seeing the wardrobe selection for the shoot and knowing Zooey抯 personality, said Roque, who loves that all these classic styles are making a comeback. 揑t抯 great to take retro inspiration and modernize it through the use of individualized textures and shapes that are current and flattering.

Get the Look:
1. Prep wet hair with Volumista and blow dry with a 2-inch round brush into 2-inch red Velcro rollers. The majority of the sections should rolled back away from the face, with the bangs being blown straight down into a roller and the face-framing side sections being blown down into the roller at a 45-degree angle.
2. Once hair is all in rollers, spray with Superfine to set the curls. Let hair cool (perfect time to do your makeup!).
3. Remove rollers. Tease hair, section by section, at the root and spray the hair shaft with Imperm閍ble. This will create big, bouncy curls throughout the head and a retro 50s-style shape at the crown (think country singer Loretta Lynn). Secure a loose half ponytail with a clip.
4. Detail select pieces with Supershine for moisture and luster and Rough Luxury to maintain texture and dimension.
