Olympic gold medalist Aly Raisman was featured on the cover of The Improper Bostonian just before she headed off to London. Alexander Maud from Mizu Salon in Boston was on-hand to give the Needham, MA, native her laid-back style for the shoot, which took place on a boat. Here are his tips for recreating the casual look:

1. Use Impérmeable to smooth out naturally curly hair.
2. Set the top with Après Beach for volume and texture.
3. Finish with more Après Beach - perfect before heading out on the ocean!
