Yang Li

Hair by Ramona Eschbach for Oribe Hair Care

For Yang Li’s Spring 2014 collection at Paris Fashion Week, the designer was inspired by “a girl who is just walking by and is not aware of anyone looking at her,” according to lead hairstylist Ramona Eschbach, who created a simple, low-key style for the runway. “Yang Li’s aesthetic is a bit goth and youthful, so I did a messy, kind of in-your-face middle part on the girls,” she explained, noting that she had to add extensions to the models with shorter hair.

Get the look:
1. Use a small amount of Royal Blowout on dry hair and flat iron the ends for a smooth, but not too perfect, finish.
2. Place a hairnet on top of the head to keep the hair at the crown flat and spray on Dry to give it a matted look.
3. Remove the hairnets right before the models hit the runway and pull a few hairs in front of the face to “give a bit of an undone feeling.”
