Shiatzy Chen

Hair by Rudi Lewis for Oribe Hair Care

The goal for the hair at the Spring 2014 Shiatzy Chen show was to create something sharp and modern. “There were a lot of graphic motifs in the collection, so I felt the hair should be clean and shiny and look quite fixed in the front, then luxurious and loose in the back,” said lead hairstylist Rudi Lewis. “It was just good quality hair with a little bounce; business up front, party in the back.”

Get the look:
1. Prep all hair below the occipital with Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse and blow dry.
2. Back-brush the root area of those sections and spray with Soft Lacquer before pressing the back-brushed area with a flat iron. Allow to set and then brush out.
3. Make a deep side parting from the crown to front hairline.
4. Sculpt all hair above the occipital flat to the head with Superfine.
5. Apply Shine to the surface of the top sections and mist Dry through the hair in the underneath sections, using fingers to create small wisps and movement.
