What’s your personal style (on and off the slopes)?
I like to call my style “mountain chic.” My East Coast roots shaped me into a girly girl, but my mountain lifestyle maintains my tough cookie mentality. I love to admit that I have no problem holding my own while keeping up with the dudes on the slopes.

Where is your favorite place to ski or board?
Beaver Creek. Most of the crowds stick to their lovely groomers, so the infamous bumps and extreme terrain remain almost untouched.

Where’s your dream place to ski or board?
Jackson Hole. I lived there for two summers and have done almost every possible hike in Grand Teton National Park; however, I have yet to ski or ride there. I’ll hopefully make it happen this season.

How do you keep your hair/skin in good condition in the cold/wind?
As attractive as the goggle tan looks on the ladies, protecting my skin from the sun and cold is of primary importance. When I ski or ride, I regularly use moisturizer with SPF, in addition to wearing a facemask and goggles. My real lifesaver is Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate and Eye Cream. I apply it as part of my nightly ritual.
What’s your favorite way for members of the opposite sex to wear their hair?
Two words: Glen Plake

How do you unwind after a long day on the mountain?
Getting cozy in my jammies with a cup of tea and watching a movie.
 • Russell, Beaver Creek

What’s your personal style (on and off the slopes)?
Casual and colorful.

Where’s your favorite place to ski/board?
Beaver Creek.

Where’s your dream place to ski/board?
I’d love to visit Japan.

How do you keep your hair/skin in good condition in the cold/wind?
A helmet, balaclava and sunscreen are my mountain essentials.

What’s your favorite way for members of the opposite sex to wear their hair?
A ponytail under a pink POC Helmet

How do you unwind after a long day on the mountain?
I enjoy Beaver Creek’s great après ski scene.
 • Bridget, Keystone

What’s your personal style (on and off the slopes)?
Born and raised on the beach, I like to carry my surf style into the winter: lots of color, slouchy hats and always a cool pair of sunnies.

Where’s your favorite place to ski/board?
Beaver Creek. Who doesn’t like escalators in the morning and warm cookies in the afternoon?

Where’s your dream place to ski/board?
Jackson Hole.

How do you keep your hair/skin in good condition in the cold/wind?
My skin can get super dry and even flaky in the winter. To protect my face, I use baby oil after the shower and sunscreen usually twice a day. My real secret weapon is the B vitamin supplement, Biotin. It works wonders on my hair, nails and skin all year round. I couldn’t live without it!

What’s your favorite way for members of the opposite sex to wear their hair?
No real preference—whatever makes them feel sexy! I do love a good beard in the winter, though.

How do you unwind after a long day on the mountain?
Après hour! I love a good cocktail with friends after a day on the slopes. My go-to drink would have to be a margarita on the rocks or a local Colorado brewed beer—always with an order of wings.
 • Carly, Vail

What’s your personal style (on and off the slopes)?
I wear a big blonde ponytail or an inside out French braid from my right ear to my left so I can still sport my helmet.

Where is your favorite place to ski or board?
Vail and Grand Targhee in Wyoming

Where’s your dream place to ski or board?
Somewhere in Japan. It's on my bucket list!

How do you keep your hair/skin in good condition in the cold/wind?
I rely on French braids and hair oil for my locks, and JoJoBa oil and zinc oxide for my face.

What’s your favorite way for members of the opposite sex to wear their hair?
I'm really into the Flock of Seagulls look right now, and I always love the shaggy classic ski bum look. A short clean cut is super sexy, too.

How do you unwind after a long day on the mountain?
A massively huge plate of nachos, tequila on the rocks with all of my buddies, sauna, bed early, repeat.
 • Lauren, Heavenly

What’s your personal style (on and off the slopes)?
I’m your typical board sport/beach-going girl: The blonder the hair and the brighter the clothes the better!

Where is your favorite place to ski or board?
Kirkwood Mountain is my favorite mountain to ride. With so many acres left un-groomed, it's easy to avoid trails and other people. It feels as though much of the mountain has been left as nature intended it to be.

Where’s your dream place to ski or board?
I'd love to go to Norway and Sweden to ride….not just for the great terrain, but also to experience a completely different culture in a location also influenced by snow sports.

How do you keep your hair/skin in good condition in the cold/wind?
Personally, every day on the hill for me is followed by about a quarter of a bottle of conditioner. Lotion is an everyday necessity when living at an elevation of over 6,000 feet. Plus, a daily application of sunscreen is a must for all these sunny California days.

What’s your favorite way for members of the opposite sex to wear their hair?
Everyone wears beanies around here, so it's hard to care what someone of the opposite gender’s hair looks like. Beards are always a plus in the mountains, though.

How do you unwind after a long day on the mountain?
No shower happy hour at any of the local watering holes is a perfect way to end a long day on the hill.
 • Whitney, Mammoth Mountain

What is your personal motto?
On the slopes, I usually have a goal or plan in mind and like to shred with determination, drive and speed.

Where's your favorite place to ski/board?
Mammoth Mountain is by far my favorite place to board. I love the diversity of the terrain and the fact that I can spend all day on the slopes and never repeat a run.

Where's your dream place to ski/board?
I've always wanted to snowboard in Chamonix, France, or Whistler, Canada.

How do you keep your hair/skin in good condition in the cold/wind?
Before I go out riding, I braid my hair in a side ponytail to keep it from getting too tangled and to keep it out of my face. I always cover my face to keep sun and wind exposure to a minimum. Lotion and good sunscreen are musts when living in cold and dry climates like Mammoth Lakes.

What's your favorite way for members of the opposite sex to wear their hair?
I tend to favor boys with short, styled, but messy hair. A quick slap of gel in the hair after a day of shredding is my favorite look.

How do you unwind after a long day on the mountain?
I love a nice soak in the Jacuzzi and maybe even a short steam room for relaxation. Lastly, after a hard day on the mountain, I like to cuddle up to a great movie next to a warm fire.
 • Liz, Vail

What’s your personal style (on and off the slopes)?
I like to wear comfortable and stylish clothing both on and off the slopes. I go for layers with minimal bulk that still keep me warm so I don't feel too immobile. After the slopes, I love throwing on a dress or a long sweater over leggings with some boots and a hat.

Where is your favorite place to ski or board?
My favorite place to ski is where I live in Vail. We have amazing terrain and great people to hit the slopes with.

Where’s your dream place to ski or board?
My dream place to ski is some remote glacier in the southernmost part of Patagonia—a super adventure!

How do you keep your hair/skin in good condition in the cold/wind?
Moisturizing is the key to keeping my skin and hair in good condition. Every day I apply a good moisturizer to my face. Most importantly, it has to have SPF. For my hair, I use a deep conditioning mask once a week since it’s so dry in the mountains. I keep my hair clipped back under my helmet and usually sport a hat after skiing to keep the helmet hair look to a minimum.

What’s your favorite way for members of the opposite sex to wear their hair?
I want the guys to be wearing a hat just like me.

How do you unwind after a long day on the mountain?
After a long day on the mountain, an easy hot yoga flow is my favorite way to unwind, followed by a steam room session, and then a glass of wine.
 • Renee, Mammoth Mountain

What is your personal style (on and off the slopes)?
Functionality is everything. If it’s not warm and doesn't wick or have plenty of pockets, it’s out.

Where's your favorite place to ski/board?
Mammoth!

Where's your dream place to ski/board?
Jackson Hole is definitely high on the list. Chamonix in France someday, maybe?

How do you keep your hair/skin in good condition in the cold/wind?
I apply SPF 70 twice a day, and I still have a goggle tan. Hair oil, a plethora of moisturizers and Burt's Bees Cuticle Cream are my other essentials. And hope.

What's your favorite way for members of the opposite sex to wear their hair?
Long and floppy, but the mountain doesn't allow it, so I have to wait for summer for my hubby to grow it out.

How do you unwind after a long day on the mountain?
I hit happy hour for drinks and food with friends whenever possible.
 • Liz L., Vail

What’s your personal style (on and off the slopes)?
On the slope, I like to leave bits and pieces of my hair sticking out from under my helmet so I can be identified as a female. Off the slope, I stay casual in jeans and usually my flannel shirt.

Where’s your favorite place to ski/board?
I love to ride all over the mountain at Vail. Depending on each day's snow conditions, visibility and temperature, I love to ride trees when there is powder, the terrain park on sunny days and the back bowls for springtime barbeque grill outs.

Where’s your dream place to ski/board?
It's my dream to go heliriding at some point. I've heard British Columbia is incredible, but I'd be happy heliriding anywhere in the world.

How do you keep your hair/skin in good condition in the cold/wind?
I use face lotion with SPF every morning and night to heal my face and protect it from wind and sunburn. During the day, I also wear colorful bandanas to keep the wind off my face.

What’s your favorite way for members of the opposite sex to wear their hair?
I like it when a guy's hair is shorter, with a bit of personal style, but I generally don't see a guy's hairstyle until they take off their hats and helmets.

How do you unwind after a long day on the mountain?
After a long day, I enjoy hot tubbing.
 • Caitlin, Heavenly

What’s your personal style (on and off the slopes)?
I charge hard on the mountain with my Armada skis and stay warm in colorful layers. For après, I get comfy in my jeans, T-shirt and Vans, but I love to dress up when the rare mountain town occasion presents itself.

Where’s your favorite place to ski/board?
Anywhere there is good snow! I love checking out new places in bounds and in the backcountry.

Where’s your dream place to ski/board?
I've seen Japan featured over and over again in ski films because of the unending powder. I need to go and test it out for myself.

How do you keep your hair/skin in good condition in the cold/wind?
A healthy diet and hydration is my best defense, along with tons of sunblock to keep my skin from getting damaged. I braid my hair under my helmet to prevent it from breaking and splitting.

What’s your favorite way for members of the opposite sex to wear their hair?
Short and naturally wild.

How do you unwind after a long day on the mountain?
Hot tub and RumChata cocoa do the trick, but I also enjoy a roaring fire and homemade dinner with my friends.
 • Josh, Mammoth Mountain

What is your personal style (on and off the slopes)?
Off the slopes, I keep it simple with a baseball cap, jeans and a button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled. On the slopes, I stick with gear that's functional and fits right.

Where's your favorite place to ski/board?
My favorite place to ski is off of Chair 22 here at Mammoth Mountain. There is access to steep tree runs and rock shoots, and it has the most scenic view second only to the top of the mountain.

Where's your dream place to ski/board?
I would love to ski a big mountain line in the Alaska or British Columbia backcountry.

How do you keep your hair/skin in good condition in the cold/wind?
I think it's all about using a good sunscreen for your face and neck—the rest is generally covered by your helmet or beanie, goggles and gloves. On bad weather days with strong winds, the best way to protect myself is with a face mask.

What's your favorite way for members of the opposite sex to wear their hair?
I like women to let their hair down. I'm a sucker for longer hair.

How do you unwind after a long day on the mountain?
Grab some friends and head to Z-Ranch for happy hour.
 • Kim Mann, Alpine Meadows

What’s your personal style (on and off the slopes)?
On the slopes, it’s all about bright colors and fun. Off the slopes, my style is either athletic or urban glam/urban edge.

Where’s your favorite place to ski/board?
Alpine Meadows, Portillo Chile, Europe

Where’s your dream place to ski/board?
Japan!

How do you keep your hair/skin in good condition in the cold/wind?
I use lots of moisturizer, sunblock and good conditioner. Plus, I use leave-in treatment on cold, windy days.

What’s your favorite way for members of the opposite sex to wear their hair?
Short

How do you unwind after a long day on the mountain?
I enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail with friends. A foot rub from a hot guy is an added bonus!
