Merritt Wever at the 2013 Emmy Awards

Hair by Stephen Lewis

It was a big night for Merritt Wever, who took home her first Emmy award for her work on HBO’s
Nurse Jackie. Merritt’s stylist, Stephen Lewis, took us through the side-parted faux bob he created for her winning evening.

Get The Look:
1. Start with towel-dried hair. Apply a combination of Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse and Volumista throughout hair and rough dry. Blow out the front with a round brush for extra volume.
2. For the front section of hair, use a one-inch curling iron and curl the hair in one-inch sections. Put curls up in rollers for extra volume and softness.
3. For the back, use a half-inch curling iron to curl half-inch sections of hair for lots of texture.
4. Spray curled hair in back with Thick Dry Finishing Spray for extra grip. Use hands to rake through the curls.
5. Take a quarter-sized amount of Fiber Groom and warm up in hands before scrunching into the hair. Roll hair in back up into a faux bob and crisscross bobby pins to secure.
6. Take the rollers out of the front and brush out hair so it blends with the back. Finish with Superfine Strong Hair Spray.
