"Man of Style"

InStyle Magazine, November 2013
Hair by Mira Chai Hyde

Orlando Bloom talks personal style in the November issue of
InStyle Magazine. Bloom is currently starring on Broadway as the lead in Romeo and Juliet. For the shoot, hairstylist Mira Chai Hyde created a sleek, classic look. “We were channeling the late ‘50s and a cool iconic figure like Chet Baker,” Mira said. “Orlando was a pleasure to work with and he got into the part immediately.”

Get The Look:
1. Apply Grandiose Hair Plumping Mousse to damp hair. “This gives hair some hold and body,” Mira said.
2. Blow dry hair with hands for a natural finish, pointing the hairdryer at the roots for lift and volume.
3. Emulsify Original Pomade in your palms and apply first to the sides and back, finishing with the front. Be careful to not apply pomade too close to the roots in order to keep the volume.
4. Use a comb to sculpt and shape the hair into a loose pompadour. “If necessary, you can use a bit of Rock Hard Gel to give it more hold. Apply on the sides to keep the look tight against the head, and on the top to keep it from collapsing,” Mira said.
5. Finish with a mist of Superfine Strong Hair Spray.
