Jeremy Laing

Hair by Ramona Eschbach for Oribe Hair Care

“Jeremy always likes the hair to be pretty natural, nothing too structured or contrived,” Ramona Eschbach, lead hairstylist for Oribe Hair Care, said backstage at the Jeremy Laing show. “There are lots of high collars in the collection, so he wanted all the hair to look like it had been tucked into a collar of a coat or sweater.” The final style of a low ponytail with loose pieces in the front did just that. As the models paraded down the runway, their perfectly messy hair looked as if it had just been tousled and blown free by the wind from underneath a heavy winter coat on a chilly day.

How to achieve this look:
1. Prep hair with Foundation Mist. If hair has a lot of texture, use Royal Blowout and a hairdryer to smooth.
2. Section out hair at the nape of the neck and French braid it to the head to take away some mass so the hair can lie flat at the back.
3. Part hair down the middle.
4. Pull hair back into a low ponytail that rests on the occipital bone.
5. Pull some pieces out from the front and pull hair over the ears.
6. Spray ponytail with a little Après Beach for added texture.
