Patrik Ervell

Hair by Holli Smith for Oribe Hair Care

Patrik Ervell's menswear designs always have an element of sportswear to them, which lead hairstylist Holli Smith took into account when creating the hair for this season's collection. "The look is a combination of wet and dry finishes," Holli said. "It almost looks like the guy was wearing a visor, and he's sweated a bit so his hairline is wet but the rest of his head is still really dry." While last season saw a ton of sleek and wet-looking styles for men, Holli was excited to create a dry look, while still incorporating a new, playful element to add naturalness to the hair and tie in the collection. "Patrik's clothes are sort of dressy but still very young and contemporary, so I feel like this look really adds to it."

Get the look:
1. Spray dry hair with Maximista Thickening Spray and blowdry product into hair with a Mason Pearson brush.
2. Apply Dry Texturizing Spray all over and dry into hair again. Brush out the hair with a Mason Pearson, directing the top section of hair forward and keeping the head shape small.
3. Use your hands to pull a few pieces of hair down from the hairline across the forehead and spray roots of the hairline liberally with Maximista to create a wet look. Use hands to sculpt pieces on forehead into place and smooth flat to the head.
