Hair by Yannick d’Is

For ADEAM’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection, Japanese designer Hanako Maeda created stylishly wearable pieces in bold prints and color block patterns. Key hairstylist Yannick d’Is complemented this young and fresh look with clean and natural hair slicked back with the help of Gel Sérum. “It’s a little bit graphic, pure and neat,” explained d’Is.

Get the Look:
1. Blow-dry clean hair back with a round brush so that it’s straight and soft.
2. Starting at the bottom of the crown of the head, use a color brush to liberally apply Gel Sérum on the roots only.
3. Keep working up the head in horizontal, one-inch-wide sections. Apply more Gel Sérum to the roots and down the hair shaft, stopping just above the nape of the neck.
4. Start to slick back and tightly mold the hair to the shape of the head with a fine-tooth comb. At the ears and along the hairline, apply Gel Sérum sparingly.
5. Use a hair net to secure the hair flat to the head and dry the hair with a diffuser.
6. Finish the look with Dry Texturizing Spray and Shine Light Reflecting Spray.
