'70s Glam

Hair by Alberto Guzman

For the newest issue of fashion, art and design magazine Creem, Alberto Guzman used Soft Lacquer to create a stunning 1970s glamour look. “It’s a little Jane Fonda in Klute and a little Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface,” says Guzman, who transformed a long, greenish-blonde wig into the beautiful honey-toned bowl cut seen here. Here’s how to get the look:

1. Dry hair straight with a round brush, using Royal Blowout for a soft, smooth finish.
2. Spray hair section by section with Soft Lacquer (Guzman calls the product “one of my best friends”) and curl the ends under with a 1.5-inch barrel curling iron. Soft Lacquer provides superior hold and shine, which are essential to this look.
3. Finish with Imperméable to keep the style frizz-free all day and night.
