"Fatale"

Vogue Paris, March 2014
Hair by Oribe

For the March 2014 issue of
Vogue Paris, Oribe gave top models Lara Stone, Anna Ewers and Amanda Wellsh sensual looks that complemented the seductive tone set by photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott. "Red was the theme," Oribe said of the shoot, which was titled "Fatale."

Get the Look – Lara Stone:
1. Apply Volumista to damp hair and blow dry with a round brush.
2. Spray Thick Dry Finishing Spray into hair, section by section, and power dry again with hands to encourage more texture.
3. Spray Dry Texturizing Spray at the root and lightly tease the hair at the crown for lift.
4. Spray Soft Dry Conditioner Spray throughout the hair.
5. Turn hair upside down, flip back over and start shooting!

Get the Look – Amanda Wellsh:
1. Use a blowdryer to remove moisture from the hair.
2. Spray Thick in section by section and blow dry with a round brush. "Move quickly and don't try to make it perfect," Oribe said.
3. Use Imperméable Anti-Humidity Spray and a 2-inch curling iron to create a classic set. Let cool.
4. Remove set and brush through the hair. Spray Soft throughout.
5. Apply a small amount of Supershine Light for added luster.
6. Brush through the hair again and set with Superfine.

Get the Look – Anna Ewers:
1. Power dry without products, aiming the hairdryer against the grain of the hair for fullness.
2. When hair is slightly damp, spray in Thick section by section and power dry until hair is completely dry.
3. Spray Soft throughout the hair. “It’s about lightness,” Oribe said. “The hair should have a very soft texture.”
4. Use a large curling iron to add some bend. “We aren’t trying to get curls,” Oribe explained. “It’s movement we want.”
5. Spray Imperméable at the temple and wherever you’ve created waves for light hold. “It’s supposed to look natural and light, the way hair looked in the ‘70s,” he noted.

Get the Look – Anna Ewers and Amanda Wellsh (slicked back):
1. Use Rock Hard Gel to pull hair into a perfect chic chignon. “I use Rock Hard when I want the hair to stay in place,” Oribe said.
2. Set with Superfine Strong for added hold.
